For investors

Operating help your portfolio can use on Monday.

Venture funds, angels, syndicates, family offices and investment groups put us in front of companies that need a go-to-market answer rather than another board deck. Twenty-five years building revenue functions, pre-revenue through $700M, on the founder's side of the table.

Most of what is called portfolio support is an introduction and a wish. This is an operator who has carried the number, in the business, doing the work.

What you can hand a portfolio company

Three things, and the first one costs nothing.

Send any of these to a founder today. You do not need to make an introduction, ask us for a call, or spend a reserve to find out whether it is useful.

Where it goes from there

When a company needs more than a read, there are three shapes.

Coaching, a scored assessment with a 90-day plan, or senior leadership owning the work inside the business. Engagements run $2,500 to $25,000 a month. We work directly with the company, and we will say plainly if we are not the right answer.

Every engagement carries Dealroom access and introductions across 30,000+ verified first-degree LinkedIn connections. For a fund that matters most at the two moments reserves are hardest to deploy: a company that needs a channel it does not have, and one that needs a buyer it has not met.

At the fund level

Three things we do for the fund rather than for one company.

Priced annually, sized to the number of companies, and separate from anything a portfolio company engages us for directly.

For founders

Raising capital, or heading toward an exit?

Ask us how we would get the business ready. We know how these are organised and structured, we have negotiated them, and we have been in the room for a lot of them, on both sides of the table.

Before a raise

  • The go-to-market story a partner actually underwrites, and the two numbers they will test it against
  • Pipeline coverage, conversion and sales cycle stated the way diligence will ask for them
  • Net revenue retention and unit economics cleaned up before someone else finds the gap
  • A data room that answers the questions in the order they get asked
  • An honest read on whether you are raising from strength or raising from runway, and what that changes

Before an exit

  • Revenue that survives diligence: concentration, renewals, contracts, forecast accuracy
  • A motion that works without the founder, because founder dependence is priced in every time
  • The buyer map, strategic and financial, and which thesis each one is actually buying
  • Positioning for the acquirer rather than for the market, which is a different document
  • What to fix in the two quarters before a process, and what to leave alone

We are operators, not bankers, lawyers or financial advisers. We do not run the process and we do not take a fee on your outcome. We get the business into the shape that makes the process go well.

Have a company in mind?

Send them the assessment, or send me a note and tell me what is actually going on in the business. It comes to me, and I come back to you personally as soon as I can.
