FHL AI

Every model will tell you what to do. None of them will tell you whether you are ready.

Twenty questions, scored against the bar for your stage, with the red flags named out loud. Built on the frameworks I have used to build and rebuild revenue functions from pre-revenue through $700M.

Ask a chatbot about your go-to-market and it will agree with you, at length. This is calibrated to disagree.

All of it is free. The score, every flag that fired, the order of repair, the hire-or-do-not-hire read. Nothing is held back and nothing is behind a card. If what comes out of it is worth a conversation, that is what I am here for.

  • Scored out of 100 against the bar for your stage
  • Five pillars, weighted, not a vibe
  • Hard rules that fire on your answers
  • A prioritised order of repair, not a to-do list
  • Nothing stored unless you ask for it

Ask me anything

Trained on my frameworks and my book. It asks before it answers and it will tell you when it thinks you are wrong, which is the entire reason to use it instead of a general model.

Hire or do not hire

Twelve questions on the revenue leader you are about to hire. Puts a number on what the wrong one costs you and tells you straight whether the business is ready for the hire.

Why this is not a chatbot

A general model is agreeable. Twenty-five years of this job is mostly saying no.

What you get everywhere else

  • Options, ranked, all of them reasonable
  • A plan built on whatever you said about yourself
  • Encouragement, because that is what the training rewards
  • No bar, so no way to know if you clear it
  • A different answer if you ask again tomorrow

What this does

  • One number, weighted, against a stated standard
  • Hard rules that fire whether you like them or not
  • Elimination rather than more options
  • The bar for your stage, written down before you answered
  • The same answer every time, because it is a rubric

The rubric is published, not hidden. The value is not that the scoring is secret. It is that the bar was set by somebody who has had to clear it.

How it works

Five minutes, and you will know which quarter you are about to waste.

01

Answer twenty questions

Four about your company to set the bar, sixteen scored across the five pillars. Every question has the reason it is being asked printed underneath it, so you can see what is being tested.

02

Get scored against your stage

Seed is not judged like Series A. Your number is compared to the standard for where you actually are, and the pillar dragging it down is named.

03

See what fired

Eight hard rules run against your answers. Hiring a VP Sales before the motion is documented fires one. So does an enterprise hire on a transactional price. These are the mistakes I have watched cost the most.

The five pillars

Weighted, because they are not equally expensive to get wrong.

FitWho you sell to, and why they buy.25% of the score
AccessWhether you can reach them repeatably.20% of the score
MotionWhether the sale runs to a process.25% of the score
TeamWhether any of it works without you.15% of the score
EconomicsWhether the money actually works.15% of the score

Fit and Motion carry half the score between them because every other number in the business is downstream of those two. You can fix Access with money. You cannot fix Fit with money.

Who wrote the rubric

Preston Junger

Twenty-five years in go-to-market leadership. SVP, Brand Solutions at Yelp through the run from $2M to $700M, first US hire at 7shifts, early Apple, Yahoo! and the IAC brands. CEO, COO and CRO among the chairs. Author of Founders Help Line.

The same first pass I run at the start of a paid engagement. If the score tells you something worth acting on, you do not need me to act on it. If it tells you something you want to argue about, that is the conversation worth having.

It costs nothing to find out where you stand.

A failed revenue hire costs $250,000 and takes a year to show up. This takes five minutes and tells you today.
